Santorini is not known for its beaches, instead it’s known for its breathtaking view and the its special features that makes of it a unique pearl in the whole world.

So my advice for a perfect stay in Santorini is getting a hotel with a pool right on the edge of the cliff: this way you are not going to sacrifice a single minute of that view because I assure you, it will remain in your heart forever and you will miss it every time you’ll se pictures of it, and you can relax under the sun and take a swim.

And most important, even do the two together, with a drink in your hand!

Sure, infinity pools with caldera view can cost a fortune, and believe me, there are a few so beautiful and luxurious that you will feel the urge to spend your entire yearly budget on it.

But if you’re not in your honeymoon and are not willing to blow a few months of wage on hotels, is it still possible to experience Santorini the best way having an eye on your budget.

After months of planning, I chose Sunny Villas in Imerovigli: I had the pretty white cave-y studio, I had my balcony overlooking the caldera, I had a pool, I had the blue view from my bed when I woke up.

The standard studio costed approx 130,00 EUR/night, which is not cheap, but all together and compared to the prices of the island I found it a great deal!

They also have very nice rooms with private jacuzzi, but they were much more expensive -of course.

I loved the place, and the staff. I had a great time and would totally advice it to anybody wanting to experience Santorini the way it deserves!
