On a beautiful Sunday we went discovering the Val Rosandra Nature reserve, a pearl spread between Italy and Slovenia.

Val Rosandra Nature Reserve is the perfect place for an afternoon short walk, a longer hike, or even a bicicle excursion or for free climbing.
Yes, all of these options and just one place.
Val Rosandra Nature Reserve offers in fact different kind of hiking paths for all kind of hiking levels, a cycle track and many options for climbers.
We choose one of the shortest and easiest tracks, which brought us from the panoramic village of San Lorenzo all the way down to the river by the small village of Botazzo, where you can rest a bit and have something typical to eat at a local trattoria, and up again.
The track took us approximately one hour, and brought us throught peaceful woods, the cycle track, and many breathtaking views over the Gulf and the city of Trieste.
As always I attempt to convey these unforgettable moments with my pictures, though there are things that can’t be transmitted throught them, and they are the peace feeling of when you stop to listen to the wind whisking at the tree tops with your eyes shut, the warm fall sun warming up your face and soul and breathing in the autumn air full of the scents of the woods, smoke and chestnuts.
