A CABIN AT THE GRAND CANYON

What made me choose a cabin for our stay at the Grand Canyon?

It was probably this video:

Ahah nah.. :) but I love it!

I’ve previously spent months browsing ALL kind of accommodation options at the Grand Canyon, obviously, and when I discovered that the Bright Angel Lodge featured also cabins, I knew immediately that that was going to be our home at the Grand Canyon!

Bright Angel’s cabins are small and cozy, with private bathroom.

Some of them even have the fireplace, though we had to book what was available, and the fireplace cabins were all already sold out.

They are all really near the main building of the lodge, with the reception, gift shop and restaurant, and really walking distance from the South rim’s trail.

We arrived late and tired one evening and had dinner at the Bright Angel Lodge’s restaurant before passing out in bed, although I must be honest the food wasn’t that special and quite expensive, but there are plenty of other places where you can grab a bite just minutes by car from the Bright Angel’s Lodge, first of these, walking distance from there, it’s El Tovar actually.

I had a great time at the Bright Angel’s Lodge, and staying in a cabin really made it special! A hotel room wouldn’t have been the same! I felt like I was staying in my own holiday’s place up in the mountains and nature :)

Our cabin was quite a basic one, and costed 158 USD/night!

Other accommodation options for the Grand Canyon could be the Grand Hotel in Tusayan, near the Park’s entrance in a very rustic style and featuring an indoor pool as well, the Canyon Plaza Resort,  or the Red feather Hotel, both in Tusayan and feauting as well the pool!

Have you been at the Grand Canyon?

Where did ou stay?

Hi Emma! Yes I know, I was looking at them for a friend, and they seem to be very in vogue during peak season. We stayed there in January, and didn’t have any problem in booking even a few days before. I hope you get to stay there one day!! Let me know when you do!! :)
